Funding meeting Oct 18th
COMMUNITY School Modernisation Planning and Design Meeting – Everyone is welcome. Next Monday 18th October at 7pm an online information session will be held to provide information to the community about the recent funding allocated to Garran Primary School for modernisation. Representatives from the Education Directorate Infrastructure and Capital Works will present to the P&C and School Board summarising what the funding is for, key timelines and responsibilities, and what the scope of influence is for the school community. Father’s Day in lockdown
COMMUNITY Sept 2nd: Sunday September 5th 2021 is Father’s Day. The school sent out an email with some ideas on how to celebrate the father figures in our lives during lockdown. It has printable ‘dad coupons’ for the children to complete and give to their dads. Happy Father’s Day to all the Garran families.

It outlines: “ …Surge Centre will transition from being a vaccination site to a testing site. The volumes of people and cars attending the centre will be reduced as a result of this change. “

COMMUNITY Sept 5th: 80% of Garran families said they would feel more connected with an informative parent blog. So the P&C launched this website. Find out more on this blog post.
Lockdown extended – updated
ANNOUNCEMENT Sept 2nd: Lockdown in the ACT has extended to September 17th 2021, which brings us close to the end of Term 3. The school is still operating remotely and for children of essential workers. Hopefully Term 4 will have students return in stages. Visit the official COVID-19 website for more info.
